Playing Dead is a tribute to the spirit and sound of the Grateful Dead, featuring former members of Dark Star Orchestra, Slipknot!, and Uncle John's Band.   They have been performing across New England for over 20 years!

Known for marathon, two-set performances, the band explores the full Grateful Dead songbook with authenticity, deep improvisation, and a true concert-experience vibe. Drawing from rock, blues, jazz, folk, bluegrass, and beyond, Playing Dead captures the genre-blending spirit that made every Dead show unforgettable.
